Many divers continue their dive education for many reasons and we have several to list, such as a paradise location on Gaya Island, supportive and experienced Instructors and a dive operation that makes safety their top priority, just to name a few!
Our groups will explore the exotic nature of Borneo through the various island activities we offer, such as learning to scuba dive, snorkeling, kayaking and jungle trekking, all the while learning more about the natural world!
A few members of our 9th group of this summers’ UK-based Camps International adventurers’ are already certified divers, and it is our passion and dedication to continue students’ dive education to improve their confidence and encourage environmental awareness too!
Being qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver, the basics of scuba diving are mastered and a diver needs exciting reasons to keep diving. In the PADI system of dive education, the next step from entry-level is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Our resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann conducts the course for a buddy team who will complete the two compulsory deep and underwater navigation dives. In addition, to gain the certification students must elect three other adventure dives of their choice. It can be anything from wreck diving to underwater photography!
For the ultimate Borneo adventure, for group sizes small or large, we will organize a convenient program for a unique learning experience whilst exploring Sabah’s tropical environment!
