Parents and guardians can be rest assured that their children travel safe with Downbelow’s international standards!
For a 1-day program, International School Nan Jing from China witnessed the coral reef of TAR marine park through our Snorkel Safari program, and also tried the worlds’ longest island-to-island zipline! And there are still plenty of adventure activities to explore around Sabah for our travelling groups, such as white water rafting on Padas River! Many of our group clients are from schools and universities, because the reputation of safety at our Downbelow operations is stellar, and that’s the most important aspect when organising activities for children and young adults.
Padas River is located in Beaufort, and where our group of 10 participants experience one of the most awesome adventure activities in Sabah! Rated at an International River Difficulty Level III/IV, the group are accompanied by experienced guides, because navigating the river needs expert and skilled maneuvering. This 1-day program, tailored by our Downbelow Travel Centre, is just one of the many adventure activities the group experience in Sabah – they will also be touring the Kinabatangan River for a wildlife safari, jungle trek the Salt Trails, learn SCUBA on the PADI Open Water Diver course and climb the iconic Mount Kinabalu!

Sabah Travel Centre expert Lulu supervises our 20-strong adventure group to the swirling rapids of the mighty river nearby Beaufort town, which is a 2-hour drive and 30-minute train ride from Kota Kinabalu city centre.
All of our clients agree it’s a long way to go, as do they agree that they would repeat the adventure many times over because the experience of rafting the incredible rapids is truly amazing! On the International Scale of River Difficulty, Padas River is classed at Grade III & IV, which requires quick, fast and expert maneuveres – needless to say, it’s exhilarating!
It’s a breath of fresh air to experience a 1-day adventure, especially after their last activity: climbing Mount Kinabalu! In our 2D1N standard climbing Mount Kinabalu package, the thrill is different. Accomplishing the epic climb is one, as is the view of the Crocker Range being lit up by the sunrise from the Low’s Peak summit!
